Episode #79 - Tuesday The Fix: Limited No More
Friday Apr 01, 2022
Friday Apr 01, 2022
Limited No More is a podcast designed to free us of our practical and verbal limitations that have kept us from trying things we would otherwise be able to do. What does all this mean and how does it relate to those of us looking to become well or deepen with recovery we have already cultivated? This is a quote from Philosiblog.com regarding this quote. “So whatever you say you can't do, you won't likely ever try, as you are already defeated in your mind. That means if you argue for your limitations (the things you cannot do), you will be stuck with them. Contained within this quote is the opposite, if you argue for your abilities, sure enough, they will be yours”.
We limit ourselves in areas
- Personal regard and self-care
- Our life expectation
- Happiness
- Relationships
- Employment
- How we are viewed by others
While in reality, we have no limits. We can go anywhere and do anything. We can recover. We can become well.

Episode #78 - Friday The Checkup: Power Words of Personal Power
Thursday Mar 31, 2022
Thursday Mar 31, 2022
Words we say to ourselves and ultimately to others can set the tone for any power we begin to achieve. We know that negative self-talk keeps us in bondage. Conversely power words can add to our personal power.
Maybe you have your own words or maybe you have never considered how important this approach to power is. Here are some of the words I have incorporated into my life and have seen them make a difference in how I view me which helps define how I view you and others.
Happy, Joyous, Free, Recovered, Well, Peace, Laughter, Beautiful, Courageous, Worthy, Forgiven, Contentment
Please consider using these words to help grow you into the person of power you have always wanted to be.

Episode #77 - Tuesday The Fix: Significance of Others
Wednesday Mar 30, 2022
Wednesday Mar 30, 2022
“Everybody has goals and desires that are different, but we have the same needs.”
The desire to feel significant or important is one of the most sought after human needs “Let’s talk about one of the most sought after human needs: The need for significance. There’s not a person alive on the planet who doesn’t want to feel important or needed. Why is feeling special such a compelling force? Why does feeling insignificant make us feel so devastated? Once you understand why you’re driven to feel significant to those around you, you can better interpret your own actions and use this desire to help you work toward your goals”. – Tony Robbins https://www.tonyrobbins.com/personal-growth/need-for-significance/

Episode #230 Tuesday the Fix; Happy, Joyous, and Free
Tuesday Mar 29, 2022
Tuesday Mar 29, 2022
As a person who has recovered from the bondage of addiction, I now help others find their way to the same freedom. One of the ways I do that is to live aloud and express a sense of happiness, mixed with joy and a demonstration of freedom. As you will learn in today's podcast being happy, joyous, and free is foundational in the life of everyone who lives this life of recovery. I hope you feel the same way. If you do not, I hope by the end of this podcast you find yourself moving in that direction. Be blessed and have a wonderful day.

Episode #76 - Friday The Checkup: Loyalty
Monday Mar 28, 2022
Monday Mar 28, 2022
Loyalty is foundational to our personal recovery initially and moving forward. Loyalty is considered to be one of the five core values of who we are as a person. Loyalty is a gateway to our internal transformation that allows us to become the person we have always wanted to become. Without loyalty, we are missing a key ingredient to the change that needs to occur. We become increasingly loyal one step at a time. Loyalty leads to so many things in our life that have eluded us when we were not loyal.

“This above all: to thine own self be true. And it must follow, as night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.” ~William Shakespeare
We can trust ourselves so we learn to trust others
We become predictable
We become more approachable by those we want to approach us
We develop a like for who we are
We deepen our regard toward others
We rest better
We enjoy life without waiting for the other shoe to drop
We spend more time appreciating the important things in life because we set aside things that aren’t important

Episode #75 - Tuesday The Fix: The Cornerstone of Faith
Sunday Mar 27, 2022
Sunday Mar 27, 2022
Faith is so vital to our recovery. Without faith, we will never be free of the bondage that our addiction gripped us with for so many years. We lost so much because our faith was weak and for many of us became non-existent. I hope this podcast and the content below challenge, inspire and grows in ways you have been hoping for.

Regardless of our length of recovery, we have something to celebrate. If for no other reason, we can celebrate that today it is not necessary for us to die. Episode #73 - Tuesday The Fix: Things We Discover Along The Way
Friday Mar 25, 2022
Friday Mar 25, 2022
“Things We Discover Along The Way”
This podcast is designed to open up our vision so we can take in all things to evaluate. There is so much around us to learn from. From music to movies, to audio instruction, nature, and written word. Etc. Whether or not a revelation is all around us is already been decided by God. What we do with it depends on us. I have been so blessed to learn and to teach from the many messages I receive. This podcast explores many of those things while focusing on one I saw this last weekend. I have added it down below. Also, please go to patreon.com/recoveryguy to further support Recovery Guy Podcast and our Recovery Mission.
“Four things you can’t recover from”
- The Stone after the throw
- The Word after’s it said
- The Occasion after it’s missed
- The Time after it’s gone

Episode #71 - Tuesday The Fix: A visit with Steve M
Thursday Mar 24, 2022
Thursday Mar 24, 2022
Welcome to Recovery Guy Podcast. This episode is called “A visit with Steve M”. Steve was one of those amazing people who was already living the road to recovery when I arrived at Alcoholics Anonymous back in 1986. Not only was Steve extremely instrumental in my personal recovery, but to this day I still am encouraged by his love and care he provided for me early on. Steve decided to devote his entire life to serving others and it is no surprise to this day he is still living the recovered life. I hope you enjoy listening to Steve as much as I did spending time with him. I can honestly say that God used him to help encourage me in my early days of recovery. Seeing him, still involved in service, encourages me in my later years as well. Thank you for listening to Recovery Guy Podcast and visiting Recoveryguy.org Also, don’t forget to go to patreon.com/recoveryguy to see how you can become even more involved in Recovery Guy Podcast and Recovery Guy Movement.
